Member Announcements

Booksigning - Eve Gaddy, Lenora Worth and Janet Justiss held a booksigning May 6 at Barnes & Noble in Tyler.

Plotting With The Girls Retreat on May 21st at The Sarah McClendon House in Tyler was a smashing success! Many requested an encore so please stay tuned for our next retreat.

Join us at our October planning session where we'll rough out the agenda for 2007. Details about place and time will be posted on the RWA-ETC list.


Contest Congratulations

Beth Goddard's manuscript, The Crossing, finaled in the 2006 Genesis Contest (Science Fiction and Fantasy category) sponsored by American Christian Fiction Writers.

Beth's latest manuscript, Seasons of Love, was requested by Barbour. She also landed a role in "Scenes and Beans", an entertaining character blog based on the new Kanner Lake suspense series by best-selling author Brandilyn Collins. (kannerlake.blogspot.com)

Diane Della Maggiora's manuscript, Eye Of The Beholder, won second place in the Great Expectations contest in the Romantic Suspense category and was requested by an agent from Brown Literacy Agency.

Laura Post's manuscript Southern Sweet Tarts placed fourth in the long contemporary category in the Great Expectations contest. It was requested by an agent from Harvey Klinger and by Hilary Sares from Kensington. Laura's manuscripts Texas Tea and Southern Misfit were also requested by Hilary Sares.

Cheril Vernon's manuscript, Undercover Lovers, placed first in the long contemporary category of Southern Heat 2005 under Harlequin editor Jessica Alvarez.
